My go to spot to board my 2 large dogs. Dogs get to be outside and play with other dogs, being outside is a huge plus, my dogs are always excited when we show up.

Weve been bringing our dog here for the past five years and its so nice to have a dependable spot when heading out of town. Our dog loves staying at River Dogs and each time I feel confident that he is well cared for and having fun. He always comes back tired and happy!

We have been working with Dina and our rescue Boxer for about 9 months. Dina takes our dog once a week for a full day of running and exercise. She is always happy to get to RD in the mornings and see her play buddies. Recommend them highly. Thanks Dina you do a great job for us.

We have a younger lab with tons of energy and Sac River Dogs is a wonderful place for him. Dina has tons of room for him to run around and friends to play with. The only time he's kenneled is overnight. Plus, Dina screens the dogs ahead of time and I never worry that he's around mean or aggresive dogs. Actually, I never worry about him at all when he's with her. Dina knows her stuff, loves her furry clients and probably takes better care of him than we do. As I said before, I would never consider having him stay anywhere else.

I took my former dog - a Basset Hound - to River Dogs for dog sitting/boarding a number of times, and it was like her second home (in fact, I feared she liked it more than ours for all of the wonderful space to roam!). Dina was great with the old girl and gave her tons of love and even tailored her care as she got old and slow and the end. We now bring our new dog to River Dogs. I love the feeling of dropping off our dog at someones home instead of a facility, but also a place where I feel confident our dog is safe, looked after, loved, and free to be a dog! River Dogs achieves all of this. Thank you Dina!

River Dogs Resort is the absolute best place to bring your pups for just the day, or for multiple days while you are away. I was so nervous the first time I left Nash. Dina kept in contact with me all week and sent me pictures and videos of Nash having a blast. He came home tired and so happy. Since then I have been taking him to all day play when I have to be at work for a long day. He doesnt ever want to leave! He absolutely loves his time at River Dogs. I highly recommend!

Yep, a 5 star review for Dina and River Dog Resort! We needed a last minute fun and safe spot for our 12 yo American Foxhound and were so happy Dina had an opening for Chuck. Shortly after arriving, Chuck was adventurous and tried to escape by scaling a fence but Dina did not let that affect her ability to provide safe and loving care for his stay. Upon our return she told us what happened and figured out solutions for his next stay communicating in a professional, caring and understanding way. We are impressed and highly recommend RDR!

We have ditched a house sitter completely now, as our rambunctious golden puppy loves to wrestle and play in their large yard while our small dog hangs out, snuggles and shares kisses with Dina. We highly recommend giving River Dogs a whirl!

River Dogs is the best! our dog loves it there and the owner is so nice and helpful and loves dogs! our flight was canceled at Christmas and rescheduled for days later after we had already dropped our dog off. River Dogs extended our kennel time so we could spend longer with family and took such good care of her. so helpful and understanding!!!!! will always go there!!!

River Dogs is considered a second home for my dogs. I have been a faithful client for over two years (2-3 days a week) and have only great things to say. The owner Dina, and all of the other staff at River Dogs ensure that my dogs are safe and looked after, that they have fun and come home tired, and that I have complete peace of mind when they are under their care. The Resort is well maintained, and the location is very convenient. My dogs love Dina, they are always so excited to see her, and I love Dina for always working with me and taking great care of my babies. Consistent, reliable, caring, willing, and professional.

We were very nervous to leave our puppy Chela for the first (extended) period of time. Fortunately, we found River Dogs where our doggy was able to be outside in a nice large yard, and received specialized attention (due to an injury)! I would definitely recommend River Dogs!

Our husky Diesel love this place and so do we! Diesel is always happy to go there and he gets lots of outside time which he needs it. I would definitely recommend this place!

Dina and her staff have been taking care of our two large dogs for about 5 years now! They were always responsive and easy to do pick ups and drop offs. The pups were always well cared for, happy to go(could not wait to get taken back to play!!), and exhausted when we picked them up! We were very sad to move away because it was such a wonderful gift to have found such a caring place for our fur-babies! I recommend them without any hesitation!!!

My dog loves going to River Dogs! The owners treat him like one of their own and it has been a great help with his socialization. He was a rescue and nervous and jumpy around other dogs and people, but after frequent visits to River Dogs he has mellowed into an easy going guy. They are reliable, always available when I need them, and have a user-friendly reservation process online. The property is large and the dogs get plenty of exercise. Highly recommended!

River Dogs has been absolutely amazing with our two dogs! One of our dogs tends to run anxious and the other is a hyper active puppy so we were nervous when it came to boarding them for the first time but Dina did an amazing job with them! Our first time there we did a walk through and she answered all questions we had and while we were away she responded to us in a very timely manner with cute pictures of our pups. Our puppy ate his bed, which she informed us of, but it was no trouble for her at all. We recently just boarded with River Dogs for the second time and the dogs were so excited to be back, they barely noticed us leaving! It's incredibly comforting to know our dogs love River Dogs and to know Dina will call/text back whenever we have a question. This is our regular boarding place now!

We have used River Dogs a few times and love them!! We have 1 dog who is 7 and 1 dog who is 2. They cater to both their needs, allowing the puppy to play ALL day and giving our older dog time alone to nap in the sun! I love that! I know they are always in good hands and having a great time while we are away!

River Dogs is a special and unique place to board your dog. It is literally a home away from home for our little pup. My other dog passed away several years ago and I have now adopted a new rescue. She is full of energy but is an only dog at home. Taking her to River Dogs a few times a week is really great for her. She is free to roam around and socialize with a variety of dog breeds out in the yard. There are a few dogs on a similar schedule that she has really bonded with. Dina will occasionally send me a picture or short video clip of the dogs playing around. It is always a nice treat in the middle of my day. There are a couple little house/sheds on the property that are air conditioned. It's good to know on these extremely hot Sacramento days she has somewhere inside to go and cool off. I know going to River Dogs is the best part of her week. Thank you River Dogs.

Sacramento River Dogs Resort (SRDR) is the only place that I trust my dog with. Whether it's for doggie day care or overnight boarding, I never worry about my dog when I drop him off with Dina. Before finding SRDR, I had checked out Wag and The Local Bark - they do not even come close to the quality service at SRDR. The owner, Dina, genuinely cares about all of the dogs that stay with her and is very meticulous about checking in on each and every 4 legged friend throughout the day. Dina is very easy to reach via call or text and her business is very accommodating and flexible. I have been a steady client of Dina's for the past 2.5 years. Dina makes you and your pet feel as though you are a part of her family. River Dogs Resort is such a lovely, locally owned business that provides superb doggie care. I highly encourage you to check out this doggie resort for any daycare or boarding needs.

We could not be happier with the care our boxer Abby gets from Dina and her staff! Abby absolutely LOVES going to "Dina's house" and as soon as we mention it, Abby is jumping around like a kangaroo ready to GO!!! Abby is always sooooo happy to see Dina. We also love that River Dogs' kennels have heat and AC since boxers are so temperature sensitive. We take Abby to play once a week. We have also boarded Abby several times over the last few years. Dina is very flexible and works with me on drop-off and pick-up given my weird work schedule. It's so great to know our fur baby is well taken care of at River Dogs Resort!

This place is awesome. They are super friendly and get to know the dogs really well. We get text and photo updates and you can tell that yes they are truly dog people. Easy to go and respond quickly. Highly recommend!

There are not enough adjectives in the English language to describe how amazing River Dogs is!!! My husband and I left our one year old yellow lab Copper with Dina at Sac River Dogs while we were on vacation for 5 nights. Copper had a BLAST!! He is FULL of energy, and he got to go on "vacation" while we were on vacation, running and playing with the other dogs all day! I picked him up today, and he is so happy (and worn out, which is a GREAT thing)!!! We will absolutely bring Copper back to River Dogs any time we are away! If you are looking for a fun, affordable place for your furry family member, I HIGHLY recommend Sac River Dogs!!! Absolutely phenomenal!!! THANK YOU!!!

My dog is very timid especially in unfamiliar places with unfamiliar people. I called to set up a walk through and was able to come by the next day. Walk throughs are required before reservations to ensure the dogs are a good fit at the Resort. Dina greeted us at the gate and instantly began interacting with my dog in a subtle manner, earning his trust. She thoroughly explained her practices at the Resort and answered any questions I had. I set up an overnight reservation for my dog on the spot. There's an entire acre fenced lot with grass for dogs of all sizes to run around, which is included in the overnight cost. My dog doesn't care for big dogs but in the open space he was able to slowly get acclimated and was playing with bigger dogs in no time. Dina truly cares about the well being of the animals and the owners. Like most pet owners, I was anxious about leaving my dog. She sent me pictures and was attentive when I checked in on him, making sure I was comfortable as well. The weekend help was just as helpful and attentive. The operation is small, only about 4 dogs stay overnight so they can get the proper attention. More dogs come for daycare. I have and will continue to take my dog to River Dogs Resort.

There are no words to describe just how amazing Dina was with our Cavalier puppy Finley. He has some anxiety but this was not a problem for her. It was immediately clear how good she is with dogs because he warmed to her right away and he had the best time at the resort. We had complete trust that Finley was in good hands and Dina did not fail us at all - she has a natural rapport with her own dogs and the others she was boarding at the time we visited. Five stars on all counts from us! Thanks Dina!!

I've been taking my dogs here since about 2014. We chose River Dogs over other daycare facilities because the price was reasonable and River Dogs sits on a large amount of property which is plenty of room for our dogs to run around. I have two rambunctious boxers who need a lot of play time and socializing. Needless to say, they come home happy and exhausted every time I pick them up. Dina, the owner, is also reasonable about pick-up and drop-off times; you can even text her in advance and let her know of any last minute changes or delays.

I used to live in West Sac and it was awesome having River Dogs five minutes from the house. Now I live in North Natomas and guess what? I still make the drive. My dogs jump five feet in the air when I tell them we're leaving for daycare. They even start crying when we turn the corner into Hart Avenue because they know all their friends are waiting for them. Their ears perk up if I just say "Dina?" River Dogs is a great place.

I was really desperate to plan for boarding my cranky dachshund over Christmas and was reaching out to many businesses. Most didn't call me back which I think is unfortunately really common. Dina was kind, calm and reassuring when she called me back. I haven't used her services yet but if she's half as good with dogs as she is with people the pups are in for a treat.

The folks at River Dogs were some of the first people to attend to our little guy, Spock, when he was first adopted from Taiwan. They were extremely skilled with handling our reticent doggy, who wasn't entirely oriented to this new world, taking the time to get to know him, and let him get to know them. I learned a lot about pack leadership just watching Dina, she has an amazing way with animals. Spock's always loved going on walks with her or spending the night. I highly recommend them if you're looking for walks or boarding.

She lets the dogs roam freely around her very secure backyard which also has a large, enclosed area for the pets to relax. Dina also lets the dogs inside her home and treats them like they are her own. Levi even had a few accidents and Dina was so gracious and understanding even though I of course felt horrible! Levi came back in great spirits and actually seemed sad to leave his new friends. I am even taking Levi back this weekend! I would recommend River Dogs to anyone looking for a safe, fun place to leave their dogs while they are out of town or even during the day for pet sitting. I know my dog will always be well taken care of and, for that, I am extremely grateful. This is a fantastic alternative to the caged boarding facilities and I know Levi is also very happy I found Dina!

The people at Sac River Dogs truly are and have been best friends to my dogs. There is nobody else I would have left my elderly dog with in his last months. He needed special attention and patience. They gave him even more than that with much love and tenderness. Now I have a young, energetic little guy. He is a lot to handle and they do it with joy and finesse. He loves his buddies at Sac River Dogs and I am so grateful knowing he is well cared for.

Some of you may feel the same as we do about our dogs, they are more like our kids. So we find it very important to be certain that they are going to be taken care of as well as we do ourselves and with River Dogs, we are at peace. I know my dog will always be well taken care of and, for that, I am extremely grateful. This is a fantastic alternative to the caged boarding facilities and I know Levi is also very happy I found Dina! • • • I brought my dog, Levi, to Dina at River Dogs for the first time about 2 weeks ago and I couldn't be happier! I had been looking for about 3 months for the perfect pet boarding company and I finally found it! Levi stayed at another facility before River Dogs and while it was fine, I wanted a more personal touch for Levi. Dina at River Dogs offers exactly that. She lets the dogs roam freely around her very secure backyard which also has a large, enclosed area for the pets to relax. Dina also lets the dogs inside her home and treats them like they are her own. Levi even had a few accidents and Dina was so gracious and understanding even though I of course felt horrible! Levi came back in great spirits and actually seemed sad to leave his new friends. I am even taking Levi back this weekend! I would recommend River Dogs to anyone looking for a safe, fun place to leave their dogs while they are out of town or even during the day for pet sitting. Dina is great and trustworthy! My dogs are with her at least once a week and whenever I am on vacation. They come back happy and dog tired! The price is just right too! I would recommend her for doggie day care or long term stay. My dogs absolutely love her!

We have been working with Dina and our rescue Boxer for about 9 months. Dina takes our dog once a week for a full day of running and exercise. She is always happy to get to RD in the mornings and see her play buddies. Recommend them highly. Thanks Dina you do a great job for us.

My dog Zeke LOVES being at River Dogs!!! It is the only place we visit that when we arrive he takes off, trotting around the huge property and doesn't jump on me to leave with me when I need to go. Dina is always there for us when we need dog care. Our dog requires medications and a watchful eye and I am always comfortable knowing he is in the best hands when he is with her. Kim-Dec 18, 2011 I can't say enough about the wonderful care that Dina gives to the animals she cares for. She has provided day care as well as overnight care for my German Shepherd and she LOVES it with Dina. Dina is a caring, alpha (woman!) and the dogs trust her and know they can trust her. I would highly recommend River Dogs to anyone.

I wouldn't even consider boarding our dog with anyone else! We have a younger lab with tons of energy and Sac River Dogs is a wonderful place for him. Dina has tons of room for him to run around and friends to play with. The only time he's kenneled is overnight. Plus, Dina screens the dogs ahead of time and I never worry that he's around mean or aggresive dogs. Actually, I never worry about him at all when he's with her. Dina knows her stuff, loves her furry clients and probably takes better care of him than we do. I took my former dog - a Basset Hound - to River Dogs for dog sitting/boarding a number of times, and it was like her second home (in fact, I feared she liked it more than ours for all of the wonderful space to roam!). Dina was great with the old girl and gave her tons of love and even tailored her care as she got old and slow and the end. We now bring our new dog to River Dogs. I love the feeling of dropping off our dog at someones home instead of a facility, but also a place where I feel confident our dog is safe, looked after, loved, and free to be a dog!
